Huffman ISD: 850-student Falcon Ridge opening 2018
HUFFMAN – Falcon Ridge Elementary, the newest addition to Huffman Independent School District (ISD), will be ready for the 2018-19 school year.
Construction for the 24.5-acre school will be complete in July 2018.
Construction cost only is estimated at over $25 million, according to TDLR.
The facility is located on the corner of FM 2100 and Huffman-Cleveland Rd.
Near the entrance of the school will be a two-acre wetlands pond.
Falcon Ridge will be Huffman ISD’s second elementary school when it opens fall 2018.
Parents can start registering their children to Falcon Ridge later in the spring 2018 semester.
Huffman ISD Superintendent Benny Soileau said the district asked for name ideas from people in the community and the Board of Trustees narrowed it down to two names.
Students from the superintenants’ advisory committee at Hargrave High School selected the name.
