SAN ANTONIO – The U.S. Navy is sailing into San Antonio's metaphorical port from Feb. 19-25, 2018, for a meet-and-greet that encompasses the entire city, while military leaders have a priority to meet with business executives and technologists.

San Antonio is among 15 U.S. cities that Navy contingents will visit this year for a week each.

The Navy expects to meet executives at USAA, the University of Texas at San Antonio, Texas A&M University–San Antonio, Port San Antonio and Geekdom LC, the city's downtown technology-centric co-working space.

San Antonio Navy Week coincides with the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, and is designed to give area residents an opportunity to learn about the Navy, its people and its importance to national security and prosperity.

  • Sailors assigned to the city’s namesake ship, USS San Antonio, and/or the state’s namesake submarine, USS Texas
  • Navy Divers and Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams
