DALLAS-FORT WORTH – North Texas was the second most active data center market in the U.S. during 2017, behind Northern Virginia, according to the CBRE EOY 2017 Data Center Market Update.
QTS, RagingWire, Stream Data Centers, T5, and TierPoint delivered new buildings to either new or existing campuses in the Metroplex.
A total of 51 Megawatts (MW) of new capacity was delivered to the colocation market during 2017.
Construction remains strong with another 38.3 MW under construction and 20 percent of that capacity is pre-leased (2018 absorption).
Leasing activity remained stable through 2017 with 37 MW of net absorption.
