​​​​TEXARKANA, TEXAS – New construction at Texas A&M University-Texarkana​ hit a milestone as the university held a "topping out" ceremony on February 13, 2018.

The celebration marked the laying of the topmost, final beam of a new $32 million building for academic and student services.

​The building is a 58,000-sf academic and student services center that will house the school’s recently expanded 

  • ​nursing program, 
  • business programs, 
  • classrooms, laboratories, and 
  • support services for students. 

Construction is expected to finish late fall 2018. 

The building will be available for student use in spring 2019.
