LONGVIEW, GREGG COUNTY – Construction on a Dollar General distribution center in Longview’s North Business Park continues.
The facility is expected to create about 400 new jobs at full capacity as well as temporary construction positions to build the 1 million-sf facility.
Dollar General intends to open its warehouse by spring 2019 with at least 100 full-time workers, and it has agreed to increase employment annually to reach 400 mostly local workers by 2022.
Warehouse payroll could reach $62 million, with yearly salaries averaging somewhere between $30,000 and $40,000.
