HOUSTON – The Museum of Fine Arts Houston will inaugurate two new components of the Susan and Fayez S. Sarofim Campus project on May 20, 2018: 

  • Glassell School of Art: an 85,000-sf school house, features three dozen studios, public gallery spaces, and a 75-seat auditorium.
  • Brown Foundation Inc. Plaza includes a reflecting pool and a shaded seating area.

The entire 14-acre transformation will also include:

  • The Nancy and Rich Kinder Building: a 165,000-sf building containing a 54,000-sf gallery space, 200-seat theater, restaurant, and an underground parking garage.
  • The Sarah Campbell Blaffer Center for Conservation.

The overall transformation includes 500,000 sf in new construction. 

Entire campus completion is expected early 2020.
