Travis St., with an eye on providing space to growing technology startups.
The 21-story historic downtown office tower, owned by Weston Urban LLC, will add more office space for tech companies seeking room to scale. According to the company, renovations at the Milam Building will begin in first half 2018. The plan is to offer the Milam as flexible space to startups when they hire enough employees that they begin looking for new digs. There are several startups already leasing space in the property, including Code2Revenue, a startup that describes itself as an outsourced sales team for tech businesses. The Milam was built in 1928 as one of the first office towers that featured air conditioning, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
