​​​​​Image of Mars facilityWACO – The Mars candy making plant reportedly plans a sizable expansion. The company produces Snickers, Skittles and Starburst products.

Plans showing a 64,000-sf addition to the facility at 1001 Texas Central Pkwy. have arrived at the City of Waco’s inspection services department.

The extra room appears destined for use as warehousing or storage space.

According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the single-story addition will cost an estimated $12 million.
