DALLAS-FORT WORTH – North Texas construction totals set a new record in 2017 with more than $22 billion in projects.
Total building in DFW was 6 percent higher than in 2016, which was then the largest year for building, according to a new report by Dodge Data & Analytics.
During 2017, commercial building activity totaled $9.6 billion in the DFW area, according to Dodge—that's a 10 percent gain from 2016.
Residential building construction last year hit $12.6 billion in the area, a 2 percent rise from 2016.
