Austin-Bergstrom airport lands concessions, retailers, chargers
AUSTIN – Austin-Bergstrom International Airport continues with major upgrades.
In April 2017, work began to replace the 290,000-sf roof of the Barbara Jordan Terminal as part of the overall terminal improvement project.
The replacement work began on the west end near Gate 23 and is migrating east.
The entire roof replacement project is estimated to be complete in late 2018 and will end at Gate 2.
The airport is also constructing 13 new business counter locations to provide passengers more areas for laptop and mobile device operation and charging outlets.
Gate 5 is getting the second locations of a Barton Springs store and Ruta Maya coffee café.
Berry Austin, a frozen yogurt shop, and Departure Lounge, an interactive travel discovery location, are being built near Gate 8.
