The move comes as a result of an open season on project shipping capacity that produced strong enough interest to not only proceed with construction, but also to hold another open season to test interest further.

The project, which will build the route out of new and existing pipelines, is set to enter service in the third quarter 2019.

The company is calling it the Cactus II Pipeline, and the original Cactus Pipeline is also undergoing an expansion that will bring it to 390,000 barrels per day of capacity.
