Galveston’s 33 cruise ship calls in December also broke the port’s previous record, up from 29 in December 2005.

Additionally, Carnival Cruise Line will move the Carnival Vista to Galveston in September 2018.

The 3,954-passenger ship will operate year-round service between Galveston and the Caribbean.
