DALLAS – Dallas-Fort Worth was the second busiest U.S. data center market in 2017, according to a new report by CBRE.
The Metroplex added about 51 megawatts of capacity last year, and 38.3 megawatts are still in the works. About 20 percent of the data center projects underway are already leased.
"In addition to a robust pipeline of demand, market conditions in Dallas remain ideal for companies seeking a competitive set of options for both wholesale and retail offerings," the report said.
Only Northern Virginia had more new data center projects last year.
