​​Image of F-35 and P-38 flying next to each otherFORT WORTH – Lockheed Martin Corporation delivered its 66th F-35 of the year on Dec. 15, 2017 meeting its joint government and industry delivery target goal.

Delivering 66 aircraft this year is a 40-percent increase from 2016.

The ultimate goal is to deliver 160 F-35s annually by 2023.

To help respond to demand, the company announced earlier this year it was hiring 1,800 employees in its Fort Worth facility where the F-35 is made.

So far Lockheed Martin has hired more than 1,300 employees.
