The three-block stretch through downtown, from Houston St. to Nueva St., will mark the 2.2-mile project’s most complex construction effort, including a mix of design, demolition and construction activities along the creek. All construction on the segment is expected to be underway by the end of summer 2018. About $12.9 million will go toward civil and utility work along the next creek segment, including wall stabilization and building underpinnings. A final design is due by May 2018 to Sundt-Davila, the joint construction venture for the project.
The first segment of the creek project, from near North Santa Rosa St. to the Alameda Theater at Houston St., remains on track for completion by May 5, 2018.
