​​​American eChem Inc. via KTRE Staff (ABC News 9)LUFKIN, ANGELINA COUNTY – American eChem Inc. announced that it plans to add 25 new jobs and invest $8 million in new infrastructure and equipment at its plant on Kurth Dr.

This comes as a result of incentives offered by the City of Lufkin Economic Development.

The $8 million investment for the expansion will come over the course of the next ten years. 

The company will add up to 25 jobs with salaries of $30,000 to $40,000 during that time.

American eChem manufactures a range of water-based liquid industrial soaps, which are used typically as lubricants in the processing and manufacturing of synthetic rubber and paper coatings.
