​​​​​​​Shovels in the ceremonial "broke ground" in front of a banner depicting a rendering of the new Texas Regional Bank HQ.HARLINGEN – Texas Regional Bank broke ground on a $10 million, four-story corporate headquarters building at the intersection of I-2/US Expy. 83 and Stuart Place Rd.

At four stories, the headquarters will be the tallest building in the commercial center which is being created around Stuart Place Rd. and I-2/US 83 Expy. 

​The building will have 41,893 sf of floor space.

Texas Regional Bank, founded in 2010, has 15 banking locations in the Valley and the Texas Hill Country with an additional two loan production offices.

The bank’s rapid expansion followed the initial 2010 acquisition of Falfurrias State Bank which had one banking center and $18 million in assets.

The bank has since increased its holdings to around $840 million with $96 million in assets.
