The developer found a tract of available land in Aliana, a master-planned community about 30 miles southwest of Houston.
ShantiNiketan hopes to close on land in late December or early 2018 and break ground on the active-adult community shortly after.
The Houston ShantiNiketan community will include 120 garden-style units that all contain three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The 1,500-sf units will be up for grabs for anywhere between $250,000 and $300,000; from there, residents will then pay around $300 per month for breakfast, lunch and dinner served every day of the year.
The age-restricted, 55+ community mostly winds up catering to retired engineers and doctors of Indian origin.
