​​​​Komatsu logoLONGVIEW – Komatsu has broken ground on a $6 million, 23,000-sf power lab facility in Longview.

The power lab is described as a state-of-the-art research and development facility that will house Komatsu’s electric power systems team. 
According to a company statement, Komatsu creates energy-efficient mining equipment that capture energy through the braking cycle and apply it back to the operating cycle for improved performance and reduced fuel consumption.​
