​​​​​TEXAS – Four Texas markets—Austin, DFW, Houston, and San Antonio—have had the most home price appreciation in the country during the last decade, according to a new study by Realtor.com.

Austin home prices have soared almost 63 percent since 2006—the most of any U.S. market.

DFW median home prices are 51.6 percent higher than they were a decade ago.

Home inventory shortages in markets including Austin, DFW, Houston, and San Antonio have fueled the price jumps.

Nationwide prices are just 2 percent higher than they were in 2006.
