97 acres purchased near Toyota Field, defunct quarry

​​SAN ANTONIO – Developer Bitterblue bought 97 acres across the highway from Morgan’s Wonderland and Toyota Field.

The vacant land spans between Wurzbach Pkwy. and I-35 on both sides of Thousand Oaks Dr​​.

The property, part of the defunct Longhorn Quarry, is one of the few remaining large stretches of undeveloped land within L​oop 1604 on the Northeast Side.

Earlier in 2017, the city awarded permits to​ Bitterblue to build a channel for Beitel Creek, which runs through the middle of the 97-acre property, and for wetland mitigation.
