Rendering of new mission training complex on Fort HoodFORT HOOD – Ground has broken for a new mission training complex construction project near Murphy Rd. and 62nd St. at Fort Hood.

The $63 million project will support individual collective, simulation-driven mission command training for III Corps and Fort Hood units.

The original Fort Hood Mission Training Complex was built in the 1980s and conducted operations in ten separate facilities spread across Fort Hood.

The new mission training complex will encompass 143,481 sf, and will consolidate the footprint into one central, unified area and will replace seven smaller buildings.

Construction is expected to be completed in early 2020.
