Texas A&M dentistry opens wide in Dallas
DALLAS – State and Texas A&M University System and campus officials have dedicated the site of a new Dallas facility, which will, when complete, increase access to quality dental care.
The 157,756-sf, nine-story building features nearly 300 dental chair stations, clinical areas, classrooms and study spaces.
Patient parking will be in a garage on the new structure’s first three levels.
The facility will allow for a 25 percent increase in enrollment at the College of Dentistry, which will increase access to dental care for Texans.
Since 90 percent of Texas A&M College of Dentistry graduating students stay in Texas to practice, the college will play a critical role in addressing the statewide shortage of oral health care providers.
The $127 million facility is expected to be completed fall 2019.
