Ten-X’s Fall 2017 List of “Hottest” Single-Family Markets
TEXAS –Ten-X has released its Top Single-Family Housing Markets Report for fall 2017, which ranks the nation’s 50 largest housing markets.
The top five markets, in order, were San Antonio, Fort Worth and Dallas, Texas, followed by Columbus, Ohio and Tampa, Florida.
The three Texas cities saw double digit home price gains, yet they remain very affordable areas to buy homes, indicating they have a bright outlook ahead.
San Antonio’s housing market continues to impress with home sales outpacing the U.S. rate, despite actually slowing down from second quarter 2017.
Fort Worth’s housing market remains hot, with home sales nearly doubling the U.S. pace.
While the Dallas home sales rate has declined slightly from last quarter’s pace, it is still on track to surpass prior peaks and is more than double the nationwide rate.
In addition, Austin ranked eighth and Houston followed at 31.
