COLLEGE STATION – A new building designed to centralize student services at Texas A&M University is scheduled to be built at the spot of Bizzell Hall on Military Walk.
According to the university, the $42.6 million, 95,000-sf Student Services Building is expected to be open to students in 2020.
Interior demolition of the building, which was built in 1918 as a dormitory, began mid-October 2017, and officials expect exterior demolition to be complete by November 2017.
Construction is expected to be complete by 2019, when staff will move into the facility.
Departments currently located in Bizzell Hall will be moved to the White Creek Complex location on West Campus this summer.
