​​​The site redevelopment plan for the Red Berry Estate on the Lake. The Site map is oriented East at the top.SAN ANTONIO – City Council approved a $61.8 million redevelopment of the Red Berry Estate on San Antonio’s East Side on October 12, 2017.

The project will turn the 84-acre property at 856 Gembler Rd. into a 330-unit apartment complex and serve as the future headquarters of a local hospitality company.

The NRP Group is handling the development’s multifamily aspect, and will make half of the units affordable to those making below 80 percent of the Area Median Income. 

Casey Development will build the new 169,000-sf commercial office for the RK Group.

In addition, the Red Berry Mansion will be renovated and the Salado Creek Hike and Bike Trail system, which runs through the property, will be improved.​
