​​Renderings of the New Lone Star College-University Park buildingCYPRESS | UNIVERSITY PARK – The Lone Star College System continues to expand its northwest Houston campuses to keep up with a booming student enrollment.

Lone Star College-University Park is building a $15.4 million, 50,000-sf Center for Science and Innovation. 

The three-story science building—expected to open January 2018—will house 12 science labs, including biology, chemistry and anatomy.

University Park is working on the design of its new $23.7 million arts building, which will include an auditorium and classroom space. 

Construction will start in spring 2018 and is expected to open in mid-2019.

Lone Star College also is working on a new 130,000-sf technology center for its Cypress campus that is expected to open spring 2018.
