Houston leads nation in added industrial space

​​Picture of a factory in HoustonHOUSTON – The Bayou City ranks first among cities with the most industrial space completed in the last decade, with 32 million sf added across 153 projects.

Houston-area cities also in the top 50 are: Pasadena (8.9 million sf), La Porte (5.4 million sf), and Waller (4.1 million sf). 
Across the greater Houston region, 63 million sf were completed in the last ten years.
Ranked by metro area, however, Houston put up less space than Inland Empire in California (131.7 million sf), Chicago (108.8 million sf), and Dallas-Fort Worth (100.9 million sf).
