HARRIS COUNTY – Houston-based Land Tejas Cos. broke ground on Texas’ first Crystal Lagoon at Balmoral, a new 580-acre residential community near Generation Park northeast of Houston.
The two-acre lagoon will be the first Crystal Lagoon to open simultaneously with an accompanying amenity village, and will be completed summer 2018.
The $10 million, eight-acre amenity village inside the planned community will include the lagoon, two beaches, clubhouse, welcome center, a park, and outdoor events space.
Balmoral is expected to have over 2,000 houses when complete with prices in the $200,000s.
The community will also include an alternative trail system called GreenBoLT that is designed specifically for electric golf carts, bicycles and pedestrians.
