DALLAS – The old Davy Crockett School, which has been vacant since the 1980s, is being remodeled into 52 small apartments.

Most of the units will be in the 400 – to 600-sf range, with rents starting at about $1,000 a month for the smallest unit.

The 3-level Italian Renaissance style brick building on Carroll Ave. at Victor St. has wide hallways, iron railed stairs and tall ceilings.

Most of the large classrooms have been divided into multiple apartments.
