​​​​UPS distribution centerHOUSTON – UPS Inc. is building a 260,000-sf industrial facility at 11770 N. Gessner Rd. in Northwest Houston.

Public permits indicate the facility will cost $17 million to build. 

The Atlanta-based shipping company is building the facility to help support the upcoming holiday season’s small package shipping increase. 

During the 2017 holiday season, the National Retail Federation expects retail sales in November and December to increase 3.6 to 4 percent, up to a total of $682 billion.
