Austin deemed best in country for 2018 CRE investment
AUSTIN – Multinational law firm DLA Piper says the Capital City is the best non-"gateway city" in the country for commercial real estate investment.
Make that one of the two best gateway cities: Austin tied with Seattle.
DLA surveyed about 220 real estate executives from top real estate firms, and 45 percent said Austin and Seattle will perform the best in 2018 for CRE investors.
Eighteen percent said Dallas-Fort Worth will perform best, and 6 percent said Houston.
The findings were released at DLA’s Global Real Estate Summit earlier this week.
Businessdictionary.com defines a gateway city as having "an airport or seaport that serves as the entry point to a country by being the primary arrival and departure point" (e.g., New York and Los Angeles).
