Mortgage rates hold flatMortgage rates hold flathttps://www.recenter.tamu.edu/news/newstalk-texas/?Item=179182017-09-29T05:00:00Z2017-09-29T15:00:00Z​McLEAN, Va. – Freddie Mac yesterday released the results of its Primary Mortgage Market Survey, which show the average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage (FRM) unchanged from the previous week.

The 30-year FRM averaged 3.83 percent with an average 0.6 point for the week ending Sept. 28, the same as last week. A year ago at this time, it averaged 3.42 percent.

Also unchanged from a week ago was the 15-year FRM, which was at 3.13 percent with a 0.5 point. It averaged 2.72 percent last year.

The five-year, Treasury-indexed, hybrid, adjustable-rate mortgage (ARM) was at 3.2 percent with a 0.5 point, up from last week's 3.17 percent. A year ago it averaged 2.81 percent.
