SAN MARCOS – A marketing brochure has started circulating promoting the development of a large scale business park to the south of Amazon’s fulfillment center.
The 85-acre property, dubbed “Centerpark San Marcos” has the potential to expand another 410 acres.
The master-planned business park could include up to 240,000 sf of Class A office space along with nearly 2.3 million sf of distribution space.
Construction will likely be dependent upon pre-leasing activity.
The decision by Amazon in 2015 to build an 855,000-sf fulfillment center near I-35—just across the street from the proposed Centerpark San Marcos project—could be the tipping point for the Austin-San Antonio corridor.
