TEXAS – Factory activity continued to increase in Sept. 2017, according to business executives responding to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’ Texas Manufacturing Outlook Survey.
The production index, a key measure of state manufacturing conditions, indicated that output grew at about the same pace in Sept. 2017 as Aug. 2017.
Perceptions of broader business conditions improved, with the general business activity index increasing to 21.3, its highest in seven months.
The employment index came in at 16.3, its highest level since April 2014.
