DALLAS-FORT WORTH – About 42,000 apartments are currently being built in the North Texas area.
That’s already down from more than 50,000 apartments in the development pipeline earlier in 2017, according to realpage.
Even with the slowdown, DFW is the second busiest apartment building market in the country.
This is the first significant slowdown North Texas has seen since the Great Recession.
