​​​​​​Graph of Longview housing statistics LONGVIEW – Home sales hit their second highest monthly total in more than two years while sale prices increased, according to the Longview Area Association of Realtors.

In August 2017, 268 sales were closed, up about 3.9 percent from August 2016, while average sale prices jumped about 4.1 percent.

Realtors sold 79 homes, up nearly 18 percent, while median home prices increased about 2.2 percent.

Homes selling for less than $200,000 accounted for almost 72 percent of all sales, followed by about 26.6 percent for homes ranging in price from $200,000 to $499,999.

Active listings totaled 589 in August, up 5.9 percent from 556 a year ago.
