AUSTIN – The Guthrie, a new multifamily project, is rising from the former site of Guthrie Lumber & Distribution near Gonzales and Tillery streets in a formerly rural area east of downtown Austin.
Argyle Residential has already broken ground on the 322-unit project, which will include a live-work element on a small parcel across the St. from the larger development.
Argyle Residential is building The Guthrie on seven acres near East Seventh and Gonzales streets.
The project includes an expansive courtyard, a large fenced-off dog park and an extension of a hike-and-bike trail along the railroad tracks.
The first units will deliver in about a year with the project complete in early 2019.
