$21M senior apartment complex coming to Cibolo
CIBOLO, BEXAR COUNTY – A new $21 million apartment complex for seniors—El Sereno—will soon be underway.
As an affordable community, El Sereno was awarded $1.5 million in annual tax credits over ten years by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
The 136-unit senior community will include 99 one-bedroom apartments and 37 two-bedroom apartments, with 119 units dedicated to seniors earning 30 to 60 percent of the area median income, while the remaining 17 units will be offered at market rate.
Dallas-based Casa Linda Development and Los Angeles-based Highridge Costa Housing will co-develop the project.
The project’s groundbreaking has been delayed due to Hurricane Harvey.
