ARLINGTON – The Texas Rangers announced that the new ballpark will be dubbed Globe Life Field.
The extension of the naming partnership will go through 2048.
Globe Life Field, which is being built through a public-private partnership between the City of Arlington and the Rangers at a cost of about $1.1 billion, is set to open for the 2020 season.
In addition to being home to the Texas Rangers, the new ballpark will so act as a year-round multi-purpose sports/entertainment venue, thanks to the retractable roof for climate control and shelter.
