CYPRESS – Bridgeland High School, Wells Elementary School, Hoover Elementary School and a replacement campus for Matzke Elementary School will open to students August 2017.
The new campuses were funded by the $807 million bond and a $1.2 billion bond referendum and will accomodate a booming population.
Located on a 128-acre site between Mason Rd. and the Grand Pkwy., Bridgeland and Wells will cost $140 million and $24.3 million, respectively.
The four-story, 573,460-sf Bridgeland campus will house 1,200 students, and Wells will hold 1,100 students.
On Mills Rd., a 75,000-sf, $26.7 million replacement campus for Matzke Elementary School students opens this school year as well.
Hoover Elementary School, which cost $25.1 million, is set to open in August and serve pre-K through second grade students.
