​​​San Antonio's housing market is charging full steam ahead, selling nearly three thousand homes sold in July 2017 alone.SAN ANTONIO – In July 2017, 2,981 homes were sold in the San Antonio-New Braunfels metro area, a 5.6 percent increase from the year before, according to data released by the San Antonio Board of Realtors (SABOR). 

Year-to-date sales are up 4.6 percent, with 17,883 homes sold at the end of July 2017, compared to 17,094 in 2016.

The median home price in San Antonio rose by 3.3 percent in July, to $218,800, according to SABOR’s data. 

“Despite the rise in home costs, buyers have not been deterred from the market and we continually see them take advantage of the low interest rates to get a little more house for their money,” SABOR Chairman Yvette Allen said in a news release.
