AUSTIN, ROUND ROCK – (This story was released before Hurricane Harvey.)
Here’s a look at a wide array of construction projects that have recently been logged with the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration (TDLR).
Office:
- HPI Real Estate Services and Investments is preparing to break ground on another development: a five-story, 126,000-sf office building at 3800 San Clemente Blvd. near Pennybacker Bridge in West Austin.
The building could break ground as early as November 2017 and deliver Class A office space by December 2018.
The project has been valued at a little more than $17 million.
- Aquila Commercial LLC is building a 115,000-sf office project at 2010 E. Sixth St. Project cost is estimated at $18 million.
Industrial:
- Tito’s Handmade Vodka is building a $5 million, 169,000-sf warehouse at 12102 Moore Rd.
- The company is adding a $600,000 distillery facility, as well.
- Several industrial buildings are planned for Heritage Crossing, a development near I-35 and Grand Ave. Pkwy. just south of Round Rock.
Multifamily:
- The University of Texas is preparing to break ground on a $70 million graduate housing complex at 2100 Concho St. between E. Martin Luther King Blvd. and Manor Rd.
- Austin DMA Housing LLC plans to build Travis Flats, a multifamily project at 5310 Helen St. near Airport Blvd. and 53rd St. in North Austin.
- JCI Residential is building St. Johns, a 297-unit apartment project at 601 W. St. Johns Ave.—another new construction project in the north central I-35 corridor.
- The $25 million project is expected to be completed in March 2020.
