Three photos of the star ranch taken by Shannon FaulkKAUFMAN COUNTY – Toddie Lee Wynne’s 4,820-acre Star Brand Ranch, which has been owned by the same family since 1850, has been listed for sale by his great-grandchildren.
The ranch’s "Big House" was built in the 1940s on the site of the original ranch house.
Nearby the “Big House” is a 10,000-sf main lodge that was added in 1992.
Wynne’s wife, Imogen, family founded the Star Brand Cattle Co. in 1850.
As Toddie Lee Wynne’s wealth grew, he took over the ranch and began repurchasing pieces of land that had been sold by his wife’s family.
He reconstructed the Star Brand as a major cattle and agricultural operation.
