​​AUSTIN – Construction will begin in September 2017 on a $27 million recreation center west of Oak Hill.

The Junction Athletic Complex, planned for 8921 W. Hwy. 290, will serve Central Texas residents from Dripping Springs, South Austin, Lake Travis, Westlake, Buda and Kyle.

The 59-acre, 90,000-sf facility will include six indoor basketball courts that can be converted into volleyball courts; four regulation-size grass fields; 12 sand volleyball courts; a two-mile outdoor walking trail and a 50-meter pool. 
A weight room, locker room, pro shop and concession area will also be included.
Members will be able to participate in a range of fitness classes including yoga and spin. 
The facility, which will be accessible by membership and will also be available for corporate meetings and birthday parties, is slated to open September 2018.
