​​​​Large employers have an opportunity to seize upon the values of Gen Z grads, by capitalizing on the inherent match between what The first crop of Gen Z grads is entering the workforce this year.

A national survey of 2,000 new and recent college graduates by Accenture Strategy found:

  • 78 percent have completed an internship or the like, showing an appreciation for the need to bring practical skills to employers;
  • 84 percent expect their first employer to provide formal training;
  • 42 percent prefer in-person meetings
  • students place mentoring and a clear career path high on their list;
  • 78 percent believe their school prepared them for the digital workforce; and, 
  • 75 percent are willing to relocate to another state for a job offer.
Gen Z will be a breath of fresh air for many employers. 

But knowing what this generation values and desires is key to attracting and retaining the new talent. ​
