Simpson Strong-Tie expands footprint by 98K sf

​​​​McKINNEY – Pleasanton, California-based Simpson Strong-Tie​ will expand its current manufacturing and warehouse facilities in McKinney, according to an announcement from the City of McKinney.

The company currently has a f​actory and office located at 2221 Country Lane, and will be adding 98,000 sf to the building.

The company will also add at least 22 new full-time employees over the next three years, according to an agreement with the McKinney Economic Development Corp. (MEDC).

According to the agreement, capital investments for the expansion will cost at least $16 million and Simpson Strong-Tie will receive a $467,000 grant from the MEDC when all terms of the agreement are met.

The expansion is currently underway and is expected to be complete December 2017.​
