​​​​An airplane lands at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.AUSTIN – A new direct route will be offered from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to London-Gatwick Airport, Norwegian Air Shuttle announced.

The flights will be offered three times per week beginning in March 2018, the airline said, with the airline using Boeing 787 Dreamliners for the route.

The flights would depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, the airline said, with a one-way ticket as low as $249.​

Gatwick Airport is about 30 miles from Central London, and is Britain’s second-busiest airport by passenger traffic after London’s Heathrow Airport.
