FORT WORTH – Financial service firm Charles Schwab plans to start the dirt flying at its new campus north of Fort Worth.
Schwab announced almost a year ago that it would build the $100 million office center on 70 acres on Ross Perot Jr.’s Circle T Ranch near SH 114 and 170.
The 500,000-sf service center will house at least 1,200 workers when it opens in 2019.
To prepare for construction of the new office campus, work on infrastructure on the property will begin soon, a Schwab spokesperson said.
"In late July [2017] we’ll begin preliminary site work—i.e., setting up construction access roads, fencing, trailers, etc," Schwab’s Director of Public Relations Sarah Bulgatz said in an email. "Then we’ll begin the grading work, which will continue for weeks."
The Schwab office, which is planned for future expansion, is part of a larger mixed-use development on the Circle T property.
