Below is a database that contains the latest official pay data for 72 occupations in 107 major metropolitan areas. Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) program of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), with additional research from American City Business Journals have generated a database for 72 occupations in 107 major metropolitan areas.
The column labeled "local average pay adjusted for purchasing power" accounts for the fact that $100,000 in certain cities won’t get you as much in terms of housing and other purchases as it might in smaller, less costly metro areas.
All figures are for 2016. Below is a small sample of Texas cities.
